What is doggie daycare?
Doggie daycare is a place where your dog can come socialize with other four-legged pals in a safe and stimulating environment. All dogs are completely supervised by dog loving and trained staff. Pooch Playhouse and Boarding is a cage free environment where dogs are only in a run for meal times and overnight stays.
What are the benefits of doggie daycare?
Doggie daycare is beneficial to dogs of all ages. It can help with dogs that are bored, who are destructive, or who have separation anxiety. You will have the peace of mind knowing that your loved one is getting the exercise, play-time and socialization they need while you are away. Dogs are natural pack animals and thrive better when they are allowed to socialize.
How do I know if doggie daycare is for me?
- Do you work all day?
- Is your dog lonely or bored?
- Is your dog destructive when left alone?
- Do you have a new puppy?
- Does your dog have separation anxiety?
- Does your dog have lots of energy?

Who may attend doggie daycare?
- Dogs that are in good health
- Dogs at least 3 months of age
- Puppies need to have at least 3 series of DHLPP and 1st Bordetella
- Dogs over 6 months of age need to have the following vaccinations:
Rabies
DHLPP
Bordetella updated within the last 6 months
- All dogs 6 months and older must be spayed or neutered
- All dogs must go through a temperament evaluation before starting doggie daycare
- All new puppies and rescue dogs need to be in the home for at least 2 weeks prior to joining daycare
Who may not attend doggie daycare?
- Dogs with any aggressive tendencies regardless of breed.
- Dogs that have been sick with a communicable illness with in the last 30 days.
- Dogs that have not been neutered or spayed.
- Wolves or wolf hybrids
- Dogs that have been in the home less than 2 weeks.
Unfortunately, not all dogs are suited for doggie daycare. Some dogs just do not take well to socialization. Some dogs have just reached an age were stimulation, play, and socialization are just not fun anymore. We require a temperament evaluation to determine if doggie daycare is suitable for your dog.
